LETTERS

From the April 2005 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I am breathless ... overjoyed ... grateful beyond measure for my February Journal. I have no favorite article, I loved it all. It all seemed to come to a crescendo for me in Bill Moody's editorial, "The demand for church" [p. 61]. With our church services being canceled for this evening (parking ban because of snow), I will take a deep breath, and read it again, slowly this time, from beginning to end. Thank you all, and hurray for Church, explained universally and defined practically by Mary Baker Eddy.

Last Monday I became very disturbed about a meeting our church had held the previous day. I turned to God in prayer to know what to do and how to pray. The first thought that came to me was to study the weekly Bible Lesson from the Christian Science Quarterly. I did. This week's lesson helped, but the distress was still there.
