My long-held intention to write in appreciation of the wonderful inspiration I qet from the Journal articles has been spurred into action with Nathan Talbot's editorial "Closing those doorways into matter" in the May issue [p. 62]. The imagery really struck a chord in relation to the different ways we can so easily be led into paths of material thinking. Since reading this editorial, I've found myself saying several times, "No. I'm not going through that door." But it wasn't until a second reading that I really found the WOW factor! The way we can refuse "a kind of ongoing birth into matter" and enter "a kind of rebirth or discovery of our true light" is explained with such clarity. Also, I have never before heard the resurrection of Jesus described in such clear terms.

William H. Hill's article "Divine completeness" [May, p. 28] reminded me of a talk with a rabbi I had many years ago. I was the Christian Science worker at a state mental hospital, and he was working there, too. He stated that the passage in Genesis "male and female created he them" (1 :27) was a mistranslation, and it should have been translated, "In completeness God created man." This fits in perfectly with Mr. Hill's article.
