SUNDAY SCHOOL:THE MOST IMPORTANT SCHOOL ON EARTH

From the September 2007 issue of The Christian Science Journal

MORE THAN 1,000 YOUTH AND YOUTHFUL THINKERS gathered in The Mother Church extension for a three-hour "Sunday School Workshop" the Sunday afternoon prior to Annual Meeting 2007.

Throughout the day, approximately 250 Sunday School Students, both regular students and visitors to The Mother Church Sunday School, attended classes (48 classes in all) held at the same hours as the church services, bringing a spark of freshness and vitality to this year's Annual Meeting weekend. About 200 of these young people came to the afternoon workshop in the Church's Extension, joining hundreds of Sunday School teachers and other church members from across the country who share a love for Sunday School.

Outgoing Mother Church President Marian English hosted the meeting along with Bill Warrick and Susic Rynerson from TMC Youth. Bill noted that the purpose of the meeting was to delve into how members could "support each other and the world in more fully realizing Mary Baker Eddy's vision for the most important school on earth—the Christian Science Sunday School: a school for healers."
