MOTIVATED TO HEAL

From the April 2008 issue of The Christian Science Journal

BEVERLY DEWINDT lives in Arcadia, California, a city near Los Angeles that's located in the San Gabriel Valley, at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains. She started out as a child performer and worked in the family restaurant business for a while. After financially supporting her husband's entry into the full-time public practice of Christian Science, things worked out in 1959 so she was able to take this step also. Besides her work as a healer, Beverly has been a teacher of Christian Science for 35 years. She writes for the magazines published by The Christian Science Publishing Society and for spirituality.com. She's also been a guest on Christian Science Sentinel Radio and on a live chat for spirituality.com.

Beverly spoke with me about the practice, including some of the concerns people who are new to that work might have.

When you're working with a patient, what's the most important feeling or experience you want them to have?
