BEVERLY DEWINDT lives in Arcadia, California, a city near Los Angeles that's located in the San Gabriel Valley, at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains. She started out as a child performer and worked in the family restaurant business for a while. After financially supporting her husband's entry into the full-time public practice of Christian Science, things worked out in 1959 so she was able to take this step also. Besides her work as a healer, Beverly has been a teacher of Christian Science for 35 years. Beverly spoke with me about the practice, including some of the concerns people who are new to that work might have.
When you're working with a patient, what's the most important feeling or experience you want them to have?
