PURPOSE FULFILLED

From the May 2010 issue of The Christian Science Journal

EVERY INDIVIDUAL HAS A PURPOSE TO FULFILL. This is true both in terms of daily life as well as an eternal reason for being. For any of us there may be times when material disruptions seem to threaten our ability to move ahead. I find the words David spoke to his son Solomon especially encouraging.

In fact, I like to think of them as a Bible promise being whispered into our own ears today when we feel held back from freedom and progress that would be natural. This is what we can hear, "Be strong and of good courage, and do it [fulfill your purpose]: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the Lord God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord" (I Chron. 28:20). You have work to do as part of God's household. God's design for your expression of Him is unique and indispensable.

Here is a promise that nothing can stop your work. God "will be with thee" bringing the assurance that your purpose goes forward.
