Although the belief that we are aging mortals is aggressive and nearly universal, we do not have to embrace it, nor be victimized by it. God’s creation, man, is immortal, and therefore, ageless. That is the truth of our being—and it can be proved through alertness, obedience, and an unwavering understanding of the Principle of immortality.

Some years ago I started forgetting things and, in addition, had occasional difficulty remembering details and subjects, which before had been a snap. I was always the one everyone in my family turned to for total recall. I struggled with this lapse of memory for some time before I realized that it was related to a belief of age, though the years didn’t warrant it. I have since realized that the belief of age besets us in one way or another, no matter at what stage of human experience we find ourselves.
