In the Manual of The Mother Church, Mary Baker Eddy provides for the continuity of her teaching through the establishment of the Board of Education. Article XXIX, Section 2, states: “Loyal Christian Scientists’ pupils who so desire may apply to the Board of Education for instruction; and if they have practised Christian Science healing successfully three years and will furnish evidence of their eligibility therefor, they are eligible to enter the Normal class. All members of this class must be thorough English scholars” (pp. 89–90).
Christian Science practitioners who feel ready to prepare for the responsibility of teaching Primary classes in Christian Science, and who wish to be considered for the Normal class to be held in December 2012, may request an electronic or paper application by e-mailing:
