In what sense did Jesus have a "mission" that was "from God"?

Q. What Jesus Christ said, did, and accomplished for us is clear from the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy. But in what sense did he have a “mission” that was “from God”? Literally this would mean God saying in essence, “OK, Jesus, run on down to the material universe and help those poor mortals.”

But this isn’t possible, since God, Mind, is “of purer eyes than to behold evil” (Habakkuk 1:13). Mind does not know a material universe, because there is no such thing, even as a dream. Can you explain?

A. The answer, I feel, has to do with Jesus’ nature and self-identification as the Christ. Does Christ know evil, that it should be healed? No. Christ heals sickness and sin the way light “heals” darkness, simply by being itself—all light, which dispels darkness quite
