For all of us who strive to make the Christian Science periodicals as widely available as possible, it has been a joy to watch the reader’s engagement with The Christian Science Journal, Sentinel, and Herald grow over the past 18 months. Nowhere has this been more visible than on JSH-Online.
Since April 2, 2012, readers have made more than 13,000 article comments, and we have reviewed over 2,500 suggestions about how to make JSH-Online even better than it is today! We have also received over 12,000 article feedback notices, which have enabled us to make over 100,000 text corrections to the collection.
Thank you for all the great ideas you’ve shared with us. With your inspiration as our foundation, we are adding more content—new features that we hope will continue to mold JSH-Online into a resource that supports your growth in the practice of Christian Science.
From the first day JSH-Online went “live,” there has been a continuous stream of requests for an elegant way to give JSH-Online as a gift subscription. We’re grateful to report that is now possible. By using the new JSH-Online prepaid subscription cards, you can give the gift of JSH-Online access to anyone with an Internet connection.
Prepaid subscription cards are now available for purchase in Christian Science Reading Rooms and at The Christian Science Publishing Society’s online shop on JSH-Online in three-month, six-month, and twelve-month denominations. They look much like a credit card with a scratch-off redemption code on the back that the recipient uses to register online.
In the online shop you can buy the same cards that you can get in a Reading Room, or you can buy an e-delivery of the cards that allows the redemption code to be sent to the recipient of the subscription by e-mail.
These new prepaid cards now also make it possible for someone who does not have a credit card to gain access to JSH-Online with the purchase of a three-, six-, or twelve-month card.
Consider offering your friends and family this most precious gift this coming holiday season or at any time throughout the year, for it is “true, the heart grows rich in giving” (Christian Science Hymnal, No. 360).
