Testimonies of Healing

The value of nail prints

From the May 2013 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Thank you for this interesting answer. It occurs to me that it was not necessary for Jesus to demonstrate a perfect body at that point. Instead, he was demonstrating that life is not of the body.

I had an experience that proved to me the value of showing Thomas the wounds. Shortly before the birth of one of my children, an ultrasound was performed. After consulting together, the technician and the doctor felt I should know I might be giving birth to a child with Down syndrome. In the few weeks before the birth, the Christian Science practitioner and I (along with my husband) prayed to see this child as “the full representation of Mind” (Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 591).
