Admission of new members

From the January 2014 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Dear Members and Friends,

It has been a joy to share news with you from the Clerk’s Office over this last decade. As conveyed in the October 1 announcement, I’ll be concluding my work as Clerk and member of the Christian Science Board of Directors on November 3. What a happy occasion it is to be writing and sharing with you news about those who have caught the vision of what it means to be a member of The Mother Church. And they have acted on this vision by applying for membership. Admission takes place at a regular business meeting of the Christian Science Board of Directors as required in the Church Manual. This morning [November 1] the Board voted to admit new members to our worldwide Church family.

Applications for this Admission were received in Dutch, English, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish, and were sent to us from the following locations: Angola, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Burundi, Cameroon, Canada, Côte D’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, England, France, Germany, Ghana, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Mexico, New Zealand, Nigeria, Peru, Republic of Congo, Russia, Rwanda, Scotland, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Tanzania, The Netherlands, Togo, United States of America, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
