When a big earthquake struck Mexico City in September 2017, my oldest son and I were on the Metrobús stopped at a red light. I had just been speaking on my cellphone with a woman who had called me to pray for her about some trouble she was having, and I had been feeling thankful that divine Love meets all our needs.
Suddenly a lady sitting behind me in the bus became very alarmed. “It’s shaking, it’s shaking—let me through!” she cried out. I turned in my seat and took her hand, assuring her that God is All-in-all. “Divine Love is with you,” I said.
The other people on the bus became fearful, and I began to say the ninety-first Psalm out loud: “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.…”
