I am so grateful for the many wonderful healings my family and I have had in Christian Science through prayer. The following healing that I would like to share proved to be one of the most important turning points in my life.
Several years ago, I started to experience a painful abdominal condition. Also during this time my normal female cycle stopped. In the beginning I feared that I would die, but I grew up with an understanding of Christian Science and knew from experience that there was a perfect answer and that complete, permanent healing was possible through prayer.
Throughout my life I have dearly loved the Bible, as well as Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and other writings of Mary Baker Eddy’s. Many times I have experienced wonderful revelations of God’s goodness and spiritual creation by reading these books, but at times they seemed difficult for me to understand. I didn’t always know how to prove that the truths I was learning are applicable in our lives, but I always knew God was with me. Looking back, too, I am more grateful than words can say to my mother for making sure that my sister and I went to the Christian Science Sunday School and to almost every Wednesday evening testimony meeting. And reading the Christian Science periodicals that came into our home was something that I always looked forward to.
