From the June 2023 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Once again, another Christian Science Journal packed with inspiration, insights, and healings! I am always so grateful (even when my message doesn’t make it all the way back to Boston). Thanks to you all for your good work!

But this time I’d like to share my particular appreciation for the article “What’s in the name ‘Christian Science nurse’?” from the April 2023 issue. Thank you to Keb Bemis for making the case for always using the full title “Christian Science nurse.” From countless blessings witnessed, from partnering with and being cared for by Christian Science nurses, I agree that using the full title is a fair and accurate recognition of this “spiritual activity empowered by divine perception, love, charity, and compassion.” I’ve found, even in those conversations where we all know the role, that using the full title helps us to acknowledge the true foundation and blessings of this ministry, which is so vital to the Cause and to the world.
