Of Good Report

How I prayed when I was scammed

From the August 2023 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In 2020 I was a victim of fraud and lost my savings. When I realized I had been scammed, I reported the theft to the financial institution that had held my money and to the police. Eventually I was told that, in line with the company’s regulations, there would be no return of my money.

At no time did I think harsh thoughts toward the scammers for how they had treated me. Rather, I prayed that it is man’s true nature, as God’s spiritual creation, to express honesty and integrity. I affirmed that only the influence of Truth was operating in the experience of these people and would show them how to behave honorably and correct their errors.

It is man’s true nature, as God’s spiritual creation, to express honesty and integrity.
