Dear Friend,
When my children were young, we loved reading a story together about a girl who discovered little hearts falling from the sky one day. She happily gathered as many as she could. But rather than keeping them to herself, she handed them out to others. Later, she found hearts growing everywhere. It was a sweet illustration of the ripple effects of love.
Love—and its availability and practicality in our lives—is a theme you’ll find throughout this Journal. The love we feel and express has its source in God, who is divine Love. Understanding God as Love lifts thought beyond a human sense of affection to a higher, unselfed love that embraces all mankind and can never be depleted or absent from our lives.
