Welcome - April 2025

From the April 2025 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Hope is as essential to each of us as wind is to a sailboat. When things are going wrong and the journey ahead looks dark, we may feel stranded in the shallows of frustration and fear. But what keeps us moving forward is hope.

Hope is what Jesus’ resurrection brought to his disciples. They believed that their Master was dead and buried, yet there he was, still alive, loving and teaching them, giving them practical examples of God’s goodness. Jesus proved that death has no power.

“His resurrection was also their resurrection,” Mary Baker Eddy writes in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. “It helped them to raise themselves and others from spiritual dulness and blind belief in God into the perception of infinite possibilities” (p. 34).
