NOTICE The reports called for at the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church include "general reports from the Field" ( Article XIII, Section 1 , of the Church Manual by Mary Baker Eddy). Many of the branch churches and societies, after the close of their church year, send to The Mother Church a report of their activities and special steps of progress, and these reports are carefully examined.

From the Treasurer of The Mother Church Per Capita Tax, as provided in the Church Manual, Article VIII, Section 13 , is due annually from "every member of The Mother Church," and "shall be forwarded each year to the Church Treasurer. " Payments may be sent during the year at any time between January 1 and December 31.

CHURCH MEMBERSHIP AND THE GRATITUDE IT BRINGS The mail received in the office of the Clerk of The Mother Church comes from all corners of the world and contains many heart-warming expressions of love and gratitude for Church membership. Branch Churches When members of The Mother Church in a community believe the time has come for the organization of a Christian Science Society, or a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, in accordance with Article XXIII, Sections 6 and 7, of the Manual of The Mother Church, they should write for information to The First Church of Christ, Scientist, Department of Branches and Practitioners, in Boston, Massachusetts. Practitioners and Nurses The Christian Science Publishing Society accepts for listing in the Christian Science periodicals only the cards of practitioners and nurses who have first been approved by the Board of Directors of The Mother Church.

Hymns with Words by Mary Baker Eddy The three twelve-inch records comprising Album Volume II—Mary Baker Eddy Hymns are now available separately. The familiar hymn settings chosen for these records are those which have been long beloved and to which they are most often sung.

ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE 75th ANNIVERSARY EDITION OF THE TEXTBOOK The 75th Anniversary Edition of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy will be published in the special cloth or leather bindings only through 1950. Those desiring the Anniversary Edition of our textbook should secure copies now, or not later than.

FROM THE DIRECTORS The question of whether churches, societies, and individuals are privileged to contribute financially to the rehabilitation and repair work now being carried out on The Mother Church edifice has been asked many times. When announcing the million-dollar repair program, The Christian Science Board of Directors stated that, while no special fund was being opened, contributions to help defray this expense would be welcome.
