ITEM OF INTEREST

It is well known that our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, loved her country's flag, and cherished the freedom for which it stands. It was displayed at her home in the customary manner of the time, and on special occasions in Christian Science Hall.

FROM THE DIRECTORS

The Christian Science Literature International Distribution Fund is in need of contributions. After this fund was established, as announced in the Christian Science Sentinel of December 16, 1939, it was generously supported by Christian Scientists who wished to aid in the distribution of "authorized Christian Science literature in countries where combatants or civilians are mobilized or congregated because of the war.

LECTURE INFORMATION

In accordance with a custom which has been followed for some time past, several members of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship who have served continuously thereon for a number of years will reserve a period to be devoted particularly to the study and practice of Christian Science. The following members will retire from the Board of Lectureship for this purpose on July 1, 1942: Mr.

FROM THE DIRECTORS [As published in the Christian Science Sentinel , March 28, 1942] In the present emergency arising from the war now being carried on, Christian Scientists, as all other loyal citizens of their respective countries and local communities, are eager to do their part in helping to preserve human life. A student of Christian Science realizes, of course, that the highest and most effectual help he can give in this respect is through faithful, consecrated prayer, acknowledging that God, by His infinite wisdom and power, guides, sustains, and protects His children.
