Notices

FROM THE DIRECTORS [As published in the Christian Science Sentinel , March 28, 1942] In the present emergency arising from the war now being carried on, Christian Scientists, as all other loyal citizens of their respective countries and local communities, are eager to do their part in helping to preserve human life. A student of Christian Science realizes, of course, that the highest and most effectual help he can give in this respect is through faithful, consecrated prayer, acknowledging that God, by His infinite wisdom and power, guides, sustains, and protects His children.

FROM THE DIRECTORS

An Item of Interest which appeared in the Christian Science Sentinel of February 5, 1938, on the subject of benedictions appears to have been misconstrued by the officers or members of some Christian Science churches. The Item of Interest was designed to remind Christian Scientists that the benediction is an integral part of our church service, and that therefore it should receive due respect.

NOTICE FROM THE DIRECTORS

To meet the present war emergency there will no doubt be instituted certain national, state, and local defense measures or regulations for the protection of persons and property from possible enemy action. Christian Scientists individually, as well as branch Christian Science churches and societies, will, of course, promptly and willingly obey such regulations, and co-operate wholeheartedly with those in authority in seeing that they are carried out.
