Announcements
Twice before, in the Christian Science Sentinel of July 9, 1938, and of February 10, 1940, The Christian Science Board of Directors asked the cooperation of Christian Scientists throughout the Field in completing their collection of all editions of Mrs. Eddy's writings.
To meet the present war emergency there will no doubt be instituted certain national, state, and local defense measures or regulations for the protection of persons and property from possible enemy action. Christian Scientists individually, as well as branch Christian Science churches and societies, will, of course, promptly and willingly obey such regulations, and co-operate wholeheartedly with those in authority in seeing that they are carried out.
Envelopes have been prepared for use in making contributions to The Mother Church Wartime Fund. It should be noted that this fund is to supersede The Mother Church War Relief Fund and the Christian Science Camp Welfare Fund, as stated in the notice published in The Christian Science Monitor of January 10, and in the Christian Science Sentinel of February 14.

Christian Science Officiating Ministers While the Christian Science church maintains no chaplains in the Forces of His Britannic Majesty, for nearly two years men who are called Christian Science Officiating Ministers (the designation acceptable to the Chaplain-General's Department, since they are not clergymen) have been actively serving Christian Scientists and others who desire their services in the several Army and Air Force Commands in Great Britain, and an Officiating Minister has now been assigned to the Middle East Forces. The service rendered is similar to that of Christian Science Chaplains and Welfare Workers in the armed forces of the United States.
