Dear Family of Gardeners, I can recall, when growing up, how the family would get the garden started each spring. Any of you who have held seeds in your hand, placed them in the ground, watched as they sprouted over the days, have an appreciation for how something so small can blossom into something so significant.

Every three years, the Board of Education, an auxiliary to the Massachusetts Metaphysical College, holds a Normal class to train and authorize dedicated practitioners of Christian Science healing to take on the additional responsibility of teaching this healing method to others. We’re delighted to announce that a new group of teachers has successfully completed the 2012 Normal class, which was held in early December.
Dear Fellow Members and Friends, After 11 years of dedicated and immensely productive service as a member of the Christian Science Board of Directors, Mary (Trinka) Trammell, CSB, has asked to resign from the Board. Trinka’s fellow workers at The Mother Church in Boston, as well as church members worldwide who have met her on her tireless travels and through her many articles in the Christian Science periodicals, will join us in a chorus of gratitude for all she has contributed to the forward movement of this Church.
Dear Fellow Members and Friends, Once again, I have the happy privilege of sharing the news of today’s [November 2] admission of new members. Admission takes place at a regular business meeting of the Christian Science Board of Directors and is required in the Church Manual.

They reside in 16 different countries and include those who speak the following languages: English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Greek, Hindi, Igbo, and Lingala.
