Occasionally Christian Science churches, with the generous desire to contribute to some one of the funds in The Mother Church, have appropriated from a building fund or other fund contributed and received for a particular purpose. Possibly the members making the appropriation have not been aware of legal requirements applicable to the disbursing of a fund which has been given for a special purpose.

They should be typewritten (double spaced), or written legibly, on one side of the paper only; and the addresses given should be complete; also, the source of all quotations should be given.

Applications for admission to membership in The Mother Church may be sent to the Clerk at any time throughout the year. It is desirable that applications should be forwarded in ample time so that they may receive the essential preliminary attention before the date of election.

The Macmillan Company of New York City have issued the following announcement which is of interest to all Christian Scientists: "The Macmillan Company will publish in October a new Life of Mary Baker Eddy, written by Dr. Lyman P.

The new sanatorium of Christian Science Benevolent Association for Pacific Coast is now open to receive guests in moderate number. Those who wish to enter should not start for the sanatorium until they have made formal application and have received notice of its acceptance, giving date of their admission.

From the Clerk of The Mother Church Church Tenets The Tenets of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, for the use of branch Churches of Christ, Scientist, are printed on sheets containing space for adding the application forms for membership in branch organizations, or extracts from their bylaws. The Tenets are not to be printed by the branch organizations as a part of their by-laws nor as application forms for membership.

NOTICE [As published in the Christian Science Sentinel, May 3, 1930] As is usual at this time of year announcement is made of those members of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship who desire to reserve to themselves, for the study and practice of Christian Science, the coming lecture year. Branch churches and societies are therefore advised that during the lecture year beginning July 1 and ending June 30, 1931, the following named lecturers will, at their own request, be relieved of active service in the lecture field: Hon.
