As you may have noticed, new paper stocks are now being used for the cover and text pages of The Christian Science Journal . The benefits of these changes include: better printing, resulting in sharper images and more legible type; improved delivery, due to greater compatibility with postal equipment; lower costs, helping to keep the Journal 's subscription price down.

Annual Meeting 1997

The 1997 Annual Meeting of the members of The Mother Church will continue to honor Mary Baker Eddy's foundation statements of mission and purpose for her Church—and their application to this age and time. Mission: ".

The housing authority for West Connecticut University sent out letters to twenty churches in Danbury, Connecticut, inviting students to participate in a meeting called by forty-two resident assistants. Race, gender, and ethnic diversity issues had been addressed earlier.

At a meeting of the board of a branch church, the question of sharing Science and Health came up. The immediate reaction was, "I don't know anybody I can share it with.

Effective with this issue, North American subscriber copies of The Christian Science Journal will no longer be mailed in plastic wrappers. This step is being taken to help keep subscription costs down and to reduce the amount of non-biodegradable plastic used by The Christian Science Publishing Society.

Normal class 1997

The Normal class of the Board of Education, which was provided for by Mary Baker Eddy, will be held in December 1997, in accordance with Article XXVI, Section 4, of the Manual of The Mother Church by Mrs. Eddy.

Annual Meeting 1997

With continued emphasis on the mission, purpose, focuses, and current priority objectives of the Church of Christ, Scientist, Annual Meeting 1997 will convene on Monday, June 2, at 1:30 p. m.
