None of us need to resist learning. Why should we? The tree doesn't resist growing.

The need to differentiate between the real and the unreal enters in some measure into every activity of human experience. A high moral sense supports us in making right decisions; but the consistently accurate acceptance of that which is true and the rejection of that which is illusory require spiritual perception beyond the scope of ordinary human reasoning or variable sense testimony.

It is becoming increasingly clear to spiritually enlightened thought that there is but one government, that of divine Principle, and that this Principle actuates and protects all right human endeavors to express it.
