THE CROW'S-NEST OF SPIRITUAL OBSERVATION

High up on the foremast of most ships, near the masthead, is the crow's-nest, where the lookout is stationed. It is the duty of the lookout to scan the horizon for whatever may appear as help or hazard to navigation.

THE DIVINELY NATURAL

While the oneness of Deity was the very foundation of Mosaic law, the all-goodness of infinite God and the oneness of infinite good were revealed by Christ Jesus. "Why callest thou me good?" he asked a certain ruler, adding, "None is good, save one, that is, God" ( Luke 18:19 ).

THE LAW OF GOD

As we study the Bible we cannot fail to be impressed by the frequency with which "the law" is mentioned as associated with God. In the early history of Israel some Soul-inspired prophets in moments of spiritual perception grasped the fact that real law is a divine concept of perfection, governing and sustaining man, and they proved their understanding of and obedience to it by the performance of marvelous demonstrations of the power of Spirit to heal human conditions of lack, disease, and death.

WHEN GOD SPEAKS

At a Wednesday evening testimony meeting in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, a testifier was heard to say, "If God has not spoken, nothing has been said. " One listener pondered these words and realized how true it is that the truths of God and His spiritual creation, spoken either audibly or mentally, render anything else of no account.

HEALING BY REFLECTING GOD

Christ Jesus healed the sick and raised the dead. To accept the New Testament as evidence of the existence of Jesus but to deny the evidence of his works is contrary to logic and reason.

EXPECTING TO RECEIVE GOOD

It is recorded in the Bible that as Peter and John were going into the temple, a lame man asked alms of them; and when Peter said, "Look on us," the man "gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them"' ( Acts 3:4, 5 ). Peter told him that he had no silver or gold to give him, but that he would give him what he had.

CHRIST AND THE DRAGON

Centuries ago the Christ, manifested by Jesus, brought to suffering humanity the peace of God. Today the Christ has lost none of its redeeming power.

THE NATURALNESS OF GOOD

A Fundamental teaching of Christian Science is that God is good. Hence good, and only good, pervades the spiritual universe.
