During a trying business experience, when it seemed as though intimidation were being used to force her to submit to certain conditions, a Christian Scientist was greatly helped by the admonition, "Maintain your poise!" Considered humanly, poise may be an acquired trait which helps one meet the vicissitudes of mortal existence with composure. This sense of poise, based upon education and training, is at best superficial.
Some years ago there appeared in The Atlantic Monthly a charming essay entitled "Home to Him's Muvver," in which the author said that a three years old child always ended her tales of amazing adventures with these words: "An' him went home to him's muvver. " This child in her baby way expressed the natural seeking by the human heart for comfort and security from its uncertainties and perplexities.
Many times while waiting my turn at the tee of a golf course I have heard the exclamation, "What a beautiful follow-through!" Many young people today need the comfort and joy which Christian Science brings through the truth it reveals of divine motherhood. Some of these young people are faced with war's bereavements and dislocations.

Countless individuals have been and are being freed from the meshes of inadequacy, iniquity, and insanity, through the spiritual understanding of the perfection of God and His perfect man—perfect divine Mind and its perfect divine idea.
God, Spirit, who created all, comprehends all to be as spiritual and perfect as He made it. The harmony and perfection of man, the expression of God, is intact, unopposable, and everlastingly evident.
