Exploring in depth what Christian Science is and how it heals.

THE ENGLISH BIBLE 1382—1603 A. D.

THE century and a half following the completion of Wycliffe's Bible about 1382 were years of remarkable progress in England in many spheres of life. The explorations of John and Sebastian Cabot, following Columbus' discovery of America, are indicative of the progressive thought of this period.

"THE HOPEFUL OUTLOOK" OF OUR LEADER

THE notable acceleration of natural science through the discovery of atomic energy may prompt us to ask, What is the outlook for greater advancement of the Cause of Christian Science in the world today? This is a question of tremendous import, for it is equivalent to the query, "What is the outlook for humanity's genuine peace, happiness, and progress?" The answer lies in the vision of individual Christian Scientists. Each one can further the advancement of our Cause, and thus make the most progress for himself and all mankind; in proportion as he gains and maintains the scientific view of God's allness, the viewpoint held and upheld by our dauntless Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who literally proved by her remarkable achievements that "one on God's side is a majority.

"WHAT THINK YE OF CHRIST?"

" YE believe in God, believe also in me," said Jesus ( John 14:1 ). What is this "me" which the Master acknowledged as his true selfhood? None but the Christ, which Mary Baker Eddy defines in the textbook of Christian Science as "the divine manifestation of God, which comes to the flesh to destroy incarnate error" ( Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p.

THE SPIRITUAL VIEW

WHEN mortal man turns from the material view of existence to the spiritual, changes for the better in human experience are inevitable. These improvements in the mortal scene are proofs that nothing has changed in reality; that all that is real is always good and harmonious in God's infinite kingdom.

DOING SOMETHING ABOUT ACCIDENTS

" UNDER divine Providence there can be no accidents, since there is no room for imperfection in perfection. " This remarkable statement by Mary Baker Eddy in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" ( p.

THE UNLEAVENED BREAD

AND all our yesterdays have lighted fools The way to dusty death. So wrote Shakespeare.

MAKING PREPARATIONS FOR OUR GUESTS

" THEN Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake.
