Today's widespread demand for political and economic reform, for social justice, and for a wider margin of individual well-being and security, expresses one of the deepest and most persistent of human longings. Dissatisfied with their present plight, men have looked for "new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness;" but, with rare exceptions, the gaze has not been turned in the right direction.

The oft-repeated story of David and Goliath is so expressive in depicting the battle between Truth and error that to the student of Christian Science it is a constant source of inspiration. Unsettled world conditions present problems that, to many, seem as fearful and unconquerable as did Goliath of Gath to the armies of Israel.

The following questions were recently asked of a speaker over the radio, by evident seekers of light: What are the attributes of God? Why was man created? Why does evil exist? A student of Christian Science recognized the significance of these queries and awaited with interest the answers. Attributes of God were acknowledged to be His infinitude and His absoluteness.

Environment is a subject that causes concern to many people and in many ways. The feeling about an environment, however, may not be that of unhappiness.

To keep love and forgiveness and true prayer in our heart; to cleanse the stain of sensitiveness and resentment and hurt from our thinking, and see our neighbor, our friend, our associate, as in his real selfhood the beloved child of God, is to learn how to offer our gift upon the altar of divine Love. It is only as we wipe the dust of false material thinking from our consciousness that we see the real man, and are ready to lay down our gift and depart in confidence and peace.

The revelation of Christian Science has interpreted for mankind the message which the angels of God have been voicing throughout the ages, the message which declares the perfect harmony of God and His heavenly kingdom—a state of perpetual joy, peace, and enduring bliss; a satisfying state of perfect consciousness. Christ Jesus was so imbued with the spirit of Truth that his was a continuous effort to acquaint mankind with this glorious state of reality.

The joy and gratitude felt by one student of Christian Science during class instruction, as a truer meaning of the Christ was unfolded, will always remain a cherished memory. Often it had seemed difficult to understand the magnitude of the Master's work and to separate all sense of Jesus as a personal Saviour from the Christ which he demonstrated, but as the truth dawned on his thought the student felt a sense of security and unity with God never before experienced.

Christian science branch churches throughout the world have been built because of the healing work that has been done in the various fields. As more abundant proof of the efficacy of Christian Science to meet the needs of humanity is given, more church edifices will be erected.

Love is infinite, all-knowing, and omnipotent, for Love is God. We learn in Christian Science that divine Love includes all that is lovely, all that is good, and nothing else.
