" What a comfort it is to know that to seek God aright is to find Him; that He lovingly and unfailingly reveals Himself to His own creation; that He does not dwell apart in hidden places! Christian Science is teaching men that God is omnipresent, and is perceived by the illumined consciousness.
On one occasion a student of Christian Science and some friends had the privilege of visiting a certain national park. Easily and steadily they ascended the mountain road in their automobile, pausing from time to time to view waterfalls and mountain streams.
We may take the words in Isaiah, "The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose," as an assurance of the reversal of every troublesome material condition that can befool mankind and hide the spiritual harmony which human beings are unaware is theirs. And we read with increasing encouragement, "Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

Christian Scientists are fortunate in having been given in the teachings of their Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, a standard of conduct, a standard of right thinking and living, that remains unaffected by the many phases of material belief encountered in the world today. Christian Scientists are encouraged by the following words on page vii of the Foreword in "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany," reprinted from The Christian Science Journal of May, 1906: "Deeds, not words, are the sound test of love; and the helpfulness of consistent and constant right thinking—intelligent thinking untainted by the emotionalism which is largely self-glorification is a reasonable service which all Christian Scientists can render their Leader.
" O come , let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.
Fear often stems from a feeling of powerlessness. But Christian Science gives us the tools to conquer fear, beginning with the nature of God as omnipotent divine Love.
