Exploring in depth what Christian Science is and how it heals.

CHURCH BUILDING

CHURCH building is a continuous operation. "Church," defined in part by Mary Baker Eddy on page 583 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" as "the structure of Truth and Love; whatever rests upon and proceeds from divine Principle," must forever unfold as an immortal idea in Mind.

TRUE INDEPENDENCE

IN times of financial stress and strain it is indeed comforting to learn, through the study and application of Christian Science, that there is only one real business, the Father's business. As we turn to the earnest contemplation of this business and resolutely refuse to accept as real the suppositional evidence of the material senses, we are abundantly blessed.

IMMORTAL MEASUREMENTS

THOSE who have reached that point of mental development where they appreciate the value of, but have not yet attained, the understanding which readily distinguishes the worthless from the worth-while, may turn to the study of Christian Science to acquire this discernment; for this Science teaches the unreality of evil and the reality of good. As a musician learns through the study of the science of music that discord is no part of harmony, in fact is unknown to harmony, so one learns through the study of Christian Science that in the Science of Life good alone is real; therefore evil is untrue, unreal, and vanishes as its nothingness is perceived.

"BEAR NO BURDEN"

TAKE heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem," admonishes the prophet Jeremiah. Mrs.

AXIOM AND BASIS

THE purpose of the student of Christian Science may be comprehensively described as healing practice. He takes up the study of this Science with the expectation that it will produce a definite, practical result in his human experience, providing a method of correct thinking and wise acting which will enable him to surmount the limitations and difficulties of mortal existence.

CONSCIOUSNESS FOURSQUARE

A STUDENT of Christian Science, disturbed over finances, was struggling with suggestions of lack, limitation, despair, which threatened to darken her consciousness and deafen it to the voice of Truth. Some such struggle David may have experienced when he cried for help because, as he said, "false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.

TRUTH VERSUS TIME

AS one becomes better acquainted with the teachings of Christian Science, many preconceived notions about time give way to a better understanding of Truth. Spiritual measurements begin to take the place of time measurements.

GUARDING OUR TREASURE

MOST people wish to have their houses made secure against unauthorized intruders, for they own things which are of value to them, and desire to keep their treasures safely. In wishing to maintain our own possessions in security none of us would deprive another of what he lawfully owns, The commandment, "Thou shalt not steal," has been taught us from early youth; and we have learned to recognize as dishonest, thoughts of envy, greed, or the belief that others have more than we have.

THE ISOLATION OF ERROR

ACCORDING to appearances, mortal man is a bundle of contradictory qualities, the world an arena for contending forces, and human experience a composite of good and evil. Neither the world nor men nor existence seems wholly good or wholly bad, however, but a blending of the two.

PROGRESS THROUGH ENLIGHTENMENT

IN divine Mind, the first and only cause, there is no process of destruction. Mind corrects and instructs the human consciousness through enlightenment, not through punishment or destruction.
