Exploring in depth what Christian Science is and how it heals.

PEACE ON EARTH

Peace on earth should be the consummation of right human endeavor. Peace was proclaimed to men by a heavenly multitude in the announcement of the birth of the Prince of Peace, as recounted in the gospel of Luke.

PROGRESS

Progress, as defined in a dictionary, means growth, advancement towards a higher and better state. Progress and true religion are inseparably intertwined; and religion is natural to man.

FORGIVENESS

Probably there are few of us who have not found forgiveness to be a hard problem. Some time or other it comes to each of us; and none can escape having it to solve.

WOMAN

Many people are fond of repeating, "This is woman's age;" others echo the words with reserve, apprehensive of tendencies they do not understand, but gallantly willing to be convinced. It is doubtful if any one unacquainted with the teachings of Christian Science comprehends, even faintly, the law underlying the emancipation of women, so plainly being made manifest; yet an understanding of that law is necessary in order that all opposition to it may vanish; that it may operate without seeming to injure any one; and that all may rejoice in its activity instead of fearing it.

"THROUGH FAITH WE UNDERSTAND"

There is a marked correlation between the eleventh chapter of the epistle to the Hebrews, which deals primarily with faith, and the opening paragraph of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, in which she states, "The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God,—a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love. "HEIRS OF GOD"

Paul said, "God .

Hidden within each heart is the longing to feel the peace and to taste the joy of the ever present kingdom of our God. No grander prayer can rise to eternal Love than, "How may we enter?" Twenty centuries ago our Master gave the answer that will ever stand inviolate: "Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.

OUR CHURCH IS BUILT TO STAND

Jesus said, "I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. " Therefore, his plan for carrying on the work of Christ included a church, and one that would endure.

THE WORD OF GOD

AMONG the helpful and cheering signs that have emerged slowly, but none the less surely, from recent chaotic world conditions, few are more gratifying than the increased interest in good reading. A quiet, but strong and deep undercurrent, that has been gathering impetus for years, has now reached an irresistible onward flow, which makes it definite and impressive.

HIGHER STATUTES

" KEEP thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life," we read in Proverbs. The right idea, which delivers from the beliefs of evil and limitation, appears in proportion to the individual desire to be right and to do right.
