Exploring in depth what Christian Science is and how it heals.

Divine beauty: its meaning and its power

A comment that beauty in the world seems all but lost in a swamp of ugly problems turned me to the Psalmist's lovely prayer: "Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children. And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us.

The future without time

Is time a primary element of all that is real? It appears to be. But try to find a beginning to time, and we have to ask, "What came before that?" Or an end, "What comes after?" If we approach the appointment with eagerness to serve and a deep appreciation for our pastor—the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy—we will bring poise and security to our reading.

Ashes or beauty

If you have had an unhappy or ugly past, there are three things you can do. You can carry it along with you and so make the present and the future unhappy and ugly too.

Love's healing embrace

As a child I was sometimes taken for a holiday on a farm. To welcome me, the farmer's wife would come to the door, hold out her arms, and I would run toward her and disappear into that loving embrace.

Watching your image

You know what sometimes happens when you first put a good slide in a projector to view it—the image may come out blurred. How do we usually bring it into focus? By adjusting the lens.

An automated church?

It's natural for Christian Scientists to want to be up to date. They may wonder how modern their churches are.
