Experiencing the blessings of membership and service to the world in a Church of Christ, Scientist, impels members to have others share in these blessings. How does one fulfill the desire to have others find the Science that reveals one's true, spiritual heritage and take part in the human institution that forwards the universal acceptance of this understanding? One can begin with prayerful, scientific reasoning in his own thought.

Mortal mind, materiality, finds itself in the chaos of conflicting feelings and unhealthy conditions; it is constantly entangled in difficulties. But when a human being who has been victimized by sorrow and misery turns trustingly to God's guidance, God, divine Mind, lifts him out of the darkness of erroneous, material beliefs to the light of spiritual understanding.

"Wednesday evening meetings are a good idea. They show that God's healing power is practical and useful.

When you awake from a bad dream, your reaction probably is not, "Why did that happen to me?" but "I'm glad that was only a dream!" You realize that you weren't really in the dream and the dream wasn't in you. It was no part of your actual experience.

Can you imagine leaving a single gift box unopened under the tree on Christmas Day? Foolish as this may seem, many of us, not understanding the nature of God, leave His precious gifts unopened every day of the year! What is the nature of these gifts and how do we open them? Everything really worth having has its source in God, divine Love. The Bible reveals this.

Man is totally innocent, free of guilt and disease. Some people might meet this assertion with emphatic denial, or at least a raised eyebrow.

Have you ever stood on the shore of a lake on a moonlit evening? Did you notice how the moonlight seemed to come from the moon, across the water, directly to where you were standing? If you moved to the right or the left, the moonbeam followed you, just as though it were your own personal moonbeam. There is a parallel between this situation and the way the understanding of Truth, God, unfolds to individuals.

How important it is, in Christian Science healing, to be willing to be healed! Most of us have known someone who has held to sorrow over the loss of a dear friend or family member, feeling that "it just wouldn't be loyal" not to grieve. So long as such a belief is held to, the healing of grief doesn't come.

Some people desire to enter the public practice of Christian Science healing but at present don't seem able to do so on a full-time basis. They feel, perhaps, that personal or family responsibilities make it necessary for them to continue for the time being in their business or profession.

"Behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. "   Luke 13:11; Pondering this description of the woman whom Jesus called from the crowd and healed, we might ask ourselves: Was the woman unable to lift up herself because she was bowed together? Or was she bowed together because she hadn't, in the true sense, lifted up herself? The latter of these possibilities can provoke some serious thinking.
