We are all familiar with unwarranted requirements and demands made upon us in our businesses, by our families, and in our human relationships. Perhaps we give what we feel is a fair amount of time and effort in these areas, but additional demands are made causing what seems to be an imposition—a burden.

These testimonies are not academic discussions of some miracle that occurred two thousand years ago.
When a family is constantly on the go— involved in community organizations, volunteer work, sports, scholastics, and social activities—most people would agree this family is living the full life. On the other hand, the individual who lives alone and belongs to no community organizations may be regarded as living a somewhat barren life.
Sometimes a person asks, "Why can't I be more receptive to Truth? Why can't I realize more clearly the presence and power of God? Why can't I grasp spiritual facts of God and man more quickly?" Actually, receptivity to Truth—the ability and willingness to receive spiritual understanding—is native to man. God is omniscient Mind, the all-knowing One, the source of all intelligence and power.
Some of us have an unhappy story, including perhaps an unhappy childhood or frustrated adulthood—a story of repeated failures, unsatisfied longings, unfulfilled hopes, disillusionment, disappointment.
