Closing the Generation Gap

Almost daily we hear of the apparent lack of communication, understanding, and support between parents and children in what has come to be called "the generation gap. " Where trust, affection, a spontaneous give and take of ideas and sharing of experiences should be the norm, too often there is distrust, withdrawal, and even heartbreaking separation.

Though, in the prophetic Scriptures, strict chronological sequence is well-nigh impossible, the rise in thought from primitive materialistic and frequently nationalistic attitudes to higher and more spiritual ideals can readily be traced. While many events recorded in Scripture may be difficult to verify in detail, even legends are often considered as containing a nucleus of historical fact.

The Crisis of Faith

[Christian Science, through the outreach of The Mother Church and its activities, will fill for humanity the aching void created by the secularization of modern society. It will prove that only through scientific religion can the deeper longings of mankind be satisfied.
