First Church of Christ, Scientist, Dublin, Ireland It is believed that Christian Science was first heard of in Dublin when a student arrived there who in 1884 had just studied with Mrs. Eddy and was "full of sharing the joy with those who seemed so miserable and despairing.

IN April, 1894, just fifteen years after the organization of The Mother Church, six loyal students of Christian Science affixed their names to articles of incorporation under the laws of the state, and First Church of Christ, Scientist, of Tacoma was duly organized.

VIEWED from its present status, with eleven organized churches and two societies holding regular services, the story of the growth of Christian Science in Chicago, the great metropolis of the middle West, is one of such marvelous progress as to seem almost incredible, in view of the comparatively brief time since this healing truth, which is today an established part of Chicago life and constantly increasing in importance and influence, first found a hearing.
ONE of the most striking evidences of the unique character of the Christian Science body is its church polity, which, as compared with that of other church organizations of this period, departs so widely from commonly accepted standards as to be clearly indicative of the inspirational nature of its conception and the spirituality of purpose in its design. It is safe to say that in no other existing religious body is personality so subordinated, and such insistence placed upon an impersonal application of universal spiritual law, as in the ideal held before the membership of the Christian Science organization by its Founder and Leader, Mrs.
The Christian Science Board of Directors take pleasure in announcing that the extension of The Mother Church will be dedicated on the date of the Annual Communion, Sunday, June 10, 1906. Application has been made to the railroad companies for the usual reduced rates for this occasion.
