Christian Science teaches us to support all that is good in human existence and to work to overcome all that is evil. The basis of this work is Love, and the method is prayer.
The sacrifices that are essential to the highest human good represent a high degree of selflessness. Today's beneficiaries of the Christian way of life are challenged to make whatever sacrifices are necessary to lift the human concept of existence above the level of materialism that Christianity may fulfill its spiritual mission.

OCCASIONALLY one hears questioned the emphasis placed upon healing by Christian Scientists. This emphasis is even discounted as a materialistic approach to religious worship.
