Putting on record insights into the practice of Christian Science.

WORKING FOR A BETTER WORLD

Christian Science teaches us to support all that is good in human existence and to work to overcome all that is evil. The basis of this work is Love, and the method is prayer.

THE VALUE OF SACRIFICE

The sacrifices that are essential to the highest human good represent a high degree of selflessness. Today's beneficiaries of the Christian way of life are challenged to make whatever sacrifices are necessary to lift the human concept of existence above the level of materialism that Christianity may fulfill its spiritual mission.

DESTROYING DEATH AS A DREAM

A Great message of the Bible is the truth that man is God's likeness and that this likeness is spiritual and deathless. One should never lose sight of this fact, even though in human life, so called, one must deal with the mortal sense of existence.

ABSOLUTE AND RELATIVE

THAT which is absolute is perfect, free from imperfection or fault, free from mixtures, free from limitation, restriction, or qualification. God, Spirit, alone is absolute.

A BETTER JOB

EVERYONE has some spark of talent, but few believe that they have an opportunity to develop that spark into a truly satisfying expression of individuality. Too many hold jobs that give them the human comforts, a sense of status and security, but long to be doing something else.

ULTIMATE RESEARCH

GREAT numbers of people are engaged in research projects and are developing various natural sciences. While one recognizes the usefulness of much of this work in the human realm, one should see that far more research should be carried out on spiritual lines.

APPLYING THE GOLDEN RULE IN THE BRANCH CHURCH

THE application of the Golden Rule enters into every aspect of branch church activity. It is especially called for in dealing with members who have become inactive for one reason or another.

THE EXAMPLE OF THE CROSS

CHRIST JESUS gave us the example by which we can know what it means to acknowledge that God is Love. He gave his life, in every sense of giving one's life, and so demonstrated love as an essential element of man in God's image.

GOD, THE DIVINE PRINCIPLE OF MAN

" IS there a God?" Because one is conscious of his own existence, he must admit that there is a cause of his being. And the fact that he is conscious of being points to Mind as the source of his existence.

HEALING IS IMPORTANT

OCCASIONALLY one hears questioned the emphasis placed upon healing by Christian Scientists. This emphasis is even discounted as a materialistic approach to religious worship.
