Christian Science Reading Rooms offer a beautiful antidote to the daily distractions that confront us. Within this space, one can realize the peace we all need to thrive.
We are pleased to announce the election of Susan Booth Mack Snipes, CSB, of Portland, Maine, as First Reader of The Mother Church, and Robert Witney, CS, of Framingham, Massachusetts, as Second Reader of The Mother Church, for the term of June 2025–June 2028, in accordance with Article I, Section 4, of the Church Manual by Mary Baker Eddy. Susan’s devotion to the practice of Christian Science began while studying music in college and has led her on an inspired path of service.
The Annual Meeting replay is now available in English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish.
In addition to projects related to Reading Room promotion, the Trustees Under the Will of Mary Baker Eddy grant program will continue to offer support for a variety of projects to aid branch church efforts in holding welcoming, healing church services, testimony meetings, Sunday Schools, and lectures.
Dedication of a branch church or society is a public affirmation of the importance of Church in the lives of Christian Scientists and in the community. When an edifice is free of debt, churches and societies often hold a dedicatory service.
As you work, the ages win; for the majesty of Christian Science teaches the majesty of man. —Mary Baker Eddy My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
If we wanted to end up with the public at our lecture, it would be good to begin with the public in planning it.
Teaching Sunday School doesn't have to be intimidating. It can be deeply fulfilling for both the teacher and students.
The Trustees invite branch churches to give special consideration to new possibilities and opportunities for their Reading Rooms.
