Testimonies of Healing

Recently I heard someone tell of a healing they had while being cared for by a Christian Science nurse, and it made me realize how grateful I am for several healings that I’ve had with the support of these cherished women and men in the Christian Science movement. Like the good Samaritan in Christ Jesus’ story in the Bible, they came to me where I was.

This author had a healing of back pain when she heard a message from God.

A couple of years ago, on my way home from a Christian Science lecture, the traffic I was in on a busy interstate came to a standstill. As I looked in my rearview mirror, I saw that the truck behind me was not going to stop in time.

On a beautiful , sunny day about a year ago, a friend and I took our dogs for a long walk. When I returned home and began preparing dinner, I felt an odd movement in one kneecap.

It was nearly ten years ago when I experienced some serious coughing spells. I prayed about it, but the coughing continued.

For several years I had a very visible and ugly growth near one of my eyes. At first it was hardly noticeable and I didn’t take much time to pray about it.

When Christian Science found me many years ago, I was a young mum caring for two small children on my own, and with a divorce pending. I had also been struggling with a persistent, long-standing skin disorder on my upper arms and body, for which I applied ointments and bandages every night before retiring.

The author saw that suffering is not in accordance with God’s law, and as she prayed about divine Mind's governance, healing quickly followed.

Last winter when we took our dog, Pepper, to get a vaccination required by law in our state, the vet told us she wanted to hospitalize him and take some tests. She thought he had a serious problem.

I was alone in our kitchen busily prepping dinner, and had retrieved a large sauté pan from a 400-degree oven and placed it on top of the stove. After doing some quick cleanup at the sink, I turned back to the stove.
