Testimonies of Healing

The events on the ninth day of December 2020 shall forever remain a treasured memory. I was traveling from Nyeri to my hometown of Karatina in a public service vehicle when it was involved in a serious collision with a lorry that was moving in the opposite direction.

I was twelve years old sitting in a Christian Science Sunday School when I realized that God was infinite, divine Love who created us in His image and likeness, and not some superhero up in the clouds randomly deciding how to interact with His children. Once I had that awakening, I looked at human life differently.

It is now time for me to share a physical healing and a healing related to church that occurred many years ago. I had just returned from a wonderful, long overseas trip.

I was introduced to Christian Science by a coworker many years ago. In the forty years since I first learned of Christian Science, I have experienced firsthand its healing effect.

When I was about seventeen, I began suffering from severe earaches. After waking one morning, I felt a stabbing pain in my right ear.

Nearing the end of my second pregnancy, the kind family doctor informed me that our baby boy was in a breech position. He knew I was a Christian Scientist and asked me to pray about it.

Last year, one of my knees began to hurt when I walked. There did not seem to be a reason for the discomfort, which came and went.

Several years ago my husband and I were traveling and I became ill with a severe respiratory condition. I prayed, simply affirming what I have learned in my study of Christian Science—that God, good, is all, and there is nothing besides Him.
