Testimonies of Healing

About five years ago I was experiencing some physical problems owing to menopause. Although for about a year the problems didn’t disrupt any part of my life, there came a time when that changed.

When our second daughter, Sarah, was about three years old, she awoke one night crying and carrying on at the top of her volume capabilities. My wife and I and our then three children were staying at my dad’s house, and the crying was enough to waken everyone.

The author recognized that there was no law to prevent her from discerning and demonstrating true sight.

One day years ago I started to feel intense pain in my shoulder. I couldn’t think of any cause for the injury, and at first I didn’t pay much attention to it, thinking it would go away.

Early one July morning several years ago, my little dog, Liebi, a tiny Pomeranian, got lost in the eight-foot-tall corn in the large field north of my house.   I searched for her and talked with some neighbors, who also began looking for her, but she had completely disappeared.

I was having a panic attack on a 16-hour flight to India. In the restroom, trying to gather my thoughts, I was gripped with fear that I might not be able to function on this physically challenging trip I’d planned months before.

I am so grateful for all of the Christian Science periodicals! They are a lifeline to me when I need encouragement and fresh inspiration. They helped bring about two quick healings that took place within a fairly short succession.

For seven generations our family has experienced spiritual healings through prayer in Christian Science. Each healing is special, but there is one that stands out above all the others.
