Of Good Report
Standing in my kitchen , packing up some last-minute things before a big move in a couple of days, I was anxiously awaiting the delivery of a couch. It was getting dark and we lived out in the country with poor cell service.
During her final term in primary school, our daughter passed the national grade seven examinations with good points, despite interruptions throughout Zimbabwe, such as school closures, due to the pandemic. We celebrated our daughter’s commendable academic performance, knowing that intelligence is from God and she reflects divine Mind’s intelligence—as do all of God’s children—which explained her positive results.
Whether we are facing problems at work, a relationship difficulty, or an illness, opening our thoughts to God’s angel messages can enable us to receive answers that lead the way to spiritual solutions. Many years ago when I worked at a technical training institute in my home city of Chandigarh, India, we were told there would be additional paid projects conducting programs for engineering colleges in the summer. As a teacher trainer, I was looking forward to this, but soon my joy faded when I found that they were distributing these programs among favored individuals.
When my husband and I moved to Sacramento, California, from Carson City, Nevada, in 2002, I was shocked at the number of homeless people within the capital city. I decided to pray about how I could help.

God’s love for His children is limitless; therefore, limitless possibilities are at hand for us to receive His blessings. That might seem hard to fathom during challenging times, but my husband and I had a lovely proof of God’s care and provision despite the restrictions imposed during the pandemic.
God keeps His promises! One such promise can be found in Psalms: “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways” ( 91:11 ). The ninety-first Psalm has been a favorite of mine since I first read it many years ago, and I especially love the references to God’s protective care for us through His angels.
One summer, when a friend and I were taking a vacation together, it became clear that we had completely different views and goals—so different that things she said and did hurt and annoyed me. In retrospect these differences were trivial, as I no longer even remember what they were.
