Of Good Report

Ever since my husband retired, we usually take the car together when we go anywhere. He drives the longer distances, while I drive short trips to run errands.

I am learning that some healings require complete surrender to God, on our knees like Daniel in the Bible, humbly giving in to whatever God’s good design is.   When we nestle into the arms of divine Love, God, not outlining, not having a plan, not worrying about the future, but letting go and relying on God completely, the answer comes.

Do you expect to experience healing at Christian Science church services? Years before becoming a dedicated student of Christian Science, I attended a Christian Science Sunday School. My step-father introduced my mother to Christian Science, and I was a grateful beneficiary of that blessing.

I must confess , I have a pile of instruction manuals I rarely read hidden away in a bottom drawer in my kitchen. There are manuals for appliances and even a fish tank filter.

I was reading in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, “Home is the dearest spot on earth, and it should be the centre, though not the boundary, of the affections” (Mary Baker Eddy, p. 58 ).

As a young child , I thought my future would be problem-free. As I grew into an adult, I began to experience many situations that made me feel unprepared and naive.

The Bible tells us in Psalms 118:24 , “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. ” But there were times when I didn’t feel like rejoicing.

In the spiritual universe of God’s creating, the law of divine Love governs all. Because God is infinite and fills all space, there is no place for anything to exist outside of God’s authority.

Years ago, I hated where I lived. My house was very close to a major road in our community, and I often slept with a pillow over my head to shut out the noise.
