Man: constantly cherished

Do we think of love as a sometime thing, a little like sunshine? Divine Love never fades, never fails. God's eternal embrace envelops the universe.

Gratitude

is affirmation of ever-present good, of "God with us"— hallelujah, thank-you, and receptiveness. It opens a two-way window where praise flows out and blessings flow in.

Awake!

Forsake the dream and move into a larger place— a consciousness of man's inherent dignity as God's beloved child. Forsake the dream of puny mortal pushed by carnal urges, helpless to resist the blandishments of mortal mind.

Love

Dear God, I've grown to love You more each passing day, To trust in Your eternal, loving care. To know Your bounty, goodness, and Your grace.

What I celebrate instead

Please excuse me from the well-intentioned, Customary fussing on this date. Knowing me, you know I mean no disrespect.

Omnipotence

I gaze upon the blueprint of the night in silent adoration of that power that spreads the heavens out and with a word can still the wave and calm the troubled heart. This mighty power is with us here and now supplying all good that we may be unburdened, free.

Are you waiting?

Struggling with error, wrestling with fear, Glimpses of Truth, Love, Life— here. The study, the searching, the wonder profound, The effort of gaining, holding, maintaining, my ground.

Wherefore doubt?

"Lord, save me. " Like Peter, I cry— feeling forsaken, beaten by waves (of failure) discouraged, down.

Victory over pain

Pain—you Goliath, looming large and shouting loud that you're invincible. My David is at hand! With stone of truth to sling with Christ authority and bring you down— inert and silent, powerless and dead; no more a thing to fear or dread.
