To him who knows that life is always "hid With Christ in God," untouched by mortal sense And held in safety by omnipotence. All anniversaries are times to rid His heart of sad beliefs in loss and bid It recognize man's joyous permanence.

Victory

So subtly tempted, Lord, was I To hearken to the serpent's lie; But like a still small voice I heard Throughout that fiery trial Thy Word, Which came as pure, uplifted thought, Dissolving that which was not wrought By Thee, and therefore could not be A law or power beguiling me.

The fruitful Wilderness

In the wilderness of loneliness Our Master proved the love he bore for God and man. He saw it is not bread but Truth and Love men hunger for.

Mind's Knowing

O mortal, trouble not to heed the jeers, Or seek the smiles, of enemy or friend! Look to the One, omniscient, supreme, For whom man cannot posture nor pretend. With freedom from the follies of deceit, With gifts of true perception, we are blessed.

A Second Spring

When with the ever-circling years A second spring is born With hopes renewed and purpose clear, We greet the rounding of the year And hail another dawn. Fresh is the dawn of another day, And as the years revolve In active work for God we find The beauty of the only Mind In every task we solve.

Restoration

Is inspiration lost? Find gratitude, And let her lead you gently by the hand. Filling the vacuum of your solitude, She will guide you straightly to her friend.

Man's Dwelling Place

Because man dwells where Life eternal springs, no power can still his glad song's upward wings; no dream of death can frighten or enthrall the cherished child of the eternal All. Because man dwells in Truth's immortal sphere, he is forever safe from pain and fear; his perfect state of being is secure in changeless Truth, that ever will endure.

All Is Well

When sin and fear seem rampant in our midst, We should not heed the tale these tempters tell, But take the lesson of the Shunammite, And know, with steadfast joy, that all is well. For as we calmly hold to what we know, The light of Truth replaces darkened thought; We see the wondrous law of God's design, And man the perfect work that God hath wrought.

Easter

From out the realm of Love a song is born Within all hearts receptive to the sound. Today—as on that distant Easter morn When white-winged angel thoughts were newly found; When stones of hate and fear were angel-moved And man as God's reflection stood in light; When Life beyond the mortal grave was proved; When Christ was seen with more than mortal sight— Today the song of jubilance and prayer Re-echoes Love's triumphant harmony To demonstrate that Love is everywhere And can be seen by those with eyes to see, And heard, through Mind, in constant resurrection, By those partaking of the Christ's perfection.

Of Such Is the Kingdom

We went to see the Master yesterday. We heard him tell of God's dear love for all And watched him heal the sick folk where they lay.
