Dear Journal: I am pleased to state, through the columns of your magazine, that a majority of cases, in my large practice of the last three months, have been patients afflicted with one or many of the symtoms of the fashionable disease called animal magnetism; and I gladly say to all my fellow-students that, in diagnosing and annihilating this disease, we possess the field into which no competitor—either a Mind-curer, a Magnetist or an Allopathist —can enter. Nothing yields so quickly to the power of Truth as this most shallow of all lies. I have been more successful in destroying it, than any other ill of mortal mind which I can now recall.
Young Student.
