The July number of the Christian Science Journal was the first work on Metaphysics that came to my notice, but it so enlightened me that I was among the first, to apply to G. B. Wickersham, the first Christian Scientist of whose coming to this city I was aware. The acknowledgment I now make would have been given within the first three months of treatment, had I not felt such an aversion to even mentioning the evils from which I am relieved. I deem it but justice to the Christian Science, however, to write to the Journal; and it may give hope to some one, struggling as I was four months ago, with articulated rheumatism, sciatica, erysipelas, and swollen limbs, so nearly approaching helplessness that the fear of paralysis overshadowed me. I am now well, have all Mrs. Eddy's writings to read, and the strength to work for my family of seven. There are a score of people in my vicinity who would be glad to join me in saying they are blessed by the same Scientist.
Respectfully,
