My whole heart goes out in deepest gratitude to God for the benefits I have received from Christian Science, as taught by Mrs. Eddy in her book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
A few years ago I was almost without hope and without God in the world. I suffered severely from asthma and hay fever, which seemed to grow worse every year. I suffered also an increasing tendency to catarrh of the head with frequent attacks of sore throat, which sometimes closed my throat so effectually that I could not swallow food or water; I was also afflicted with rheumatism in one of its worst forms, from which I suffered five of six weeks at one time, and was obliged to give up my work and go to bed, helpless as a child.
I seemed to be a physical wreck; and not only did I suffer physically, but the mental auguish was almost unbearable.
