I am very thankful to be able to testify to the healing power of Christian Science. When I was a very small child I had an attack of measles, and the doctors in attendance said that the disease settled in my throat, leaving my voice very weak. Two years ago a Christian Science practitioner handed me a copy of Science and Health, and in it I learned that man reflects God. In trying to realize this great truth I was enabled to speak clearly. Christian Science has healed me of a complication of diseases. My father was a physician and I might say that I was raised on medicine, but I got worse instead of better. After I had tried all the medicine of which I knew, I tried Christian Science, and as soon as I began its study all my troubles, and they were legion, began to disappear. Now, after two years' study, I can say that I am well, healed of all my diseases. My eyes were healed in Christian Science after taking a few treatments and reading Science and Health for just two weeks. The oculists had told me I would always have to wear glasses. I had done so for six years, but at the end of two weeks in Christian Science I did not need them.
I have no words to express my gratitude to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy. I hope to prove worthy to be called a Christian Scientist.— Chicago, Ill.
