Christian Science came to me in the darkest hour of my life, my wife having just passed away, leaving me a year-old babe to care for. I was weighed down with lung and stomach trouble, and with the expectation of soon joining my companion, who had succumbed to the same diseases. I have no doubt that my expectations would have been realized, had I not at last lost faith in medicine and turned to Christian Science for help. I wrote for treatment to a friend who was a Christian Science practitioner, and who lived about one hundred and fifty miles away. I took two weeks' treatment and was healed, and am quite a different man. I also was able to lay away glasses which I had worn for a long time, having no further need of them.
My physical healing was wonderful, yet it was not so great as the spiritual healing. The Bible is a new book to me when read in the light of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. It is my earnest desire to repay, in some measure, for the great blessings I enjoy, by being able to help others to find their way out of darkness into the light of Truth.
