I do not know how to express fully the gratitude I feel for the healing and the spiritual benefits I have received through Christian Science. After the best medical specialists whom we could find had told me that my wife's recovery was very doubtful, and that she could only hope for relief by means of a serious surgical operation, we turned in desperation to Christian Science. After a few months of Christian Science treatment, my wife was completely healed of serious abdominal trouble, as well as other ailments, and I was convinced that this Science was the same healing truth which Jesus taught and applied to the needs of humanity, and which he admonished his disciples and followers to practise.
I had been obliged to wear glasses for ten years, and was unable to use my eyes without them. Four prominent oculists in our city had assured me that I would never be able to do without the glasses, and at one time the trouble was so acute that I resolved to give up my profession (the law) and engage in some other work, in the hope that this condition might be improved. I was, however, completely healed of defective eyesight by Christian Science, and laid aside my glasses over three years ago. This is but one of many instances of physical healing which I have experienced, but that for which I am most grateful is the clearer, higher, and better understanding of the Bible and its teachings which I have gained by studying it in connection with our text-book, Science and Health, which I have found to be most truly a "Key to the Scriptures."
Christian Science helps me daily in the practice of my profession, in my home life, and in my association with my fellow-men, and I am more grateful each day to our Leader for all that she has done and is doing for humanity.
